It was written in obvious sarcasm, but I thought it was funny. At over 5200 feet Katahdin is the highest mountain in Maine. [...] As soon as you approach the wilderness there is a sign bearing a warning: you need at least 10 days worth of food to make it through the area. Its supposed to be a 100 miles of wilderness and according to my guide book it is neither 100 miles nor truly a wilderness. Either way [...] Moosilauke is the first major climb in the White Mountains. This was the sunrise about two miles from the summit of Moosilauke. Mount Lafayette! I think this looks a little like a pussy, but maybe thats just me… Anyways…there’s so much that happens out here I feel overwhelmed when trying to sit down and summarize [...] |
