fish eatin’ creekFish Eating Creek is a two million acre old growth cypress tree swamp.We went camping there with a friend a week or two ago, so I figured I’d share the photos. On this piece of property, there were wild citrus trees growing that were planted by the Seminoles a hundred or so years ago, so I took a bunch home. its amazing to see the difference between wild oranges and conventional ones. I can think of few things in this world that compare to riding through abandoned citrus groves and picking oranges from horseback on a chilly winter morning. And if there was a freeze, you have natural frozen oranges… Delicious and fun.
Riding through cypress stands is another matter. The knees are deadly if you fall from horseback, and there are plenty of snakes to spook horses. Still love and miss cypress stands, though. Thanks for bringing the old memories out. Cypress stands inland, mangroves on the coast, gators lazing on river shores… Miss ‘em.

Thanks for the great photos Sequoia. Being in a very cold northeast winter with plenty of snow on the ground it is great to see some green scenery. You do a very good job of capturing the majesty of the area and, I am looking forward to your photos as you hike the Appalachian Trail. You may want to call into or appear on Playboy Radio or the Howard Stern Show to promote your hike and possibly attract sponsors. Hope your preparations for the hike are proceeding the way you need them to.

It couldn’t hurt. Most of the women who host the shows on Playboy Radio are former or current porn stars and they have men and women from various companies and or people who work in the adult field on their shows. Howard Stern does have women from the adult industry on his show and if your an interesting interview( I would imagine you would be as you have many interests such as environmentalism, and free speech issues which you might have in common). At the very least you might want to give them a call and see if they would be intersted in having you on either in person or a phone interview.
