tell congress not to rig florida’s future

You know what I was so lucky to see the other day? Baby sea turtles hatching and crawling towards the ocean. I saw three little guys make it out of their nest mound and head towards the sea. That was really cool, the first time I’ve seen live sea turtles in the wild. Drilling for oil off of Florida’s coast would pollute the already totally fucked up waters these little guys have to swim through to survive. Tell the government that drilling off Florida’s coast is not the answer to the energy crisis. Take action now!

No amount of drilling off Florida’s coast is going to change the fact that our nation only has 3% of the world’s oil reserves, and that we consume 25% of the world’s oil supply. Lifting the moratorium would not ease pain at the pump for average Americans. Just last year, the president signed a bill to open 8 million acres to new drilling, and instead of going down, gas prices are now at an all time high.
