  • Very good post indeed!
From time immemorial, men have saved part of their crops to sow seeds for the crops of the following year.
The Monsanto “system” is extremely dangerous not only because of the potential dangers of GM foods (which are not obvious) but because farmers, especially those from “developing” countries, will be compelled to get theirs seeds from Monsanto at a price fixed by Monsanto.
Very rapidly they’ll be in the same position as the farmers of the Middle West, “tractored out” of their lands because unable to pay back what they had borrowed from the banks. It will be a worldwide disaster.
We often hear pro-GMO refer to their “freedom” to grow GMOs. But what about MY freedom to grow organic foods if my neighbour grows GMOs? Unless he does his business in a strictly confined aria, which is totally unrealistic.
My best wishes to you, sequoia redd, and to your visitors.

For those who can read French, we keep a website collecting information about Global Warming and environmental issues.
